Are kids really getting anything out of school? Last semester, I was talking to my class and we were having a "Rap Session Wednesday" and a lot of them said that they weren't getting the things they needed out of school. From the responses I was getting, I tend to believe them.
The kids wanted to know about taxes, they wanted to know more about special classes including ministry, basic life skills, and things they would use in their life after school. I was awed by the conversations that we had. They wanted more say so in what they are learning was to be.
So, Open conversation....What do you think?
